Microsoft® Surface®

Microsoft® Surface® 1.0 VS Microsoft® Surface® 2.0

Microsoft researchers first came up with the concept of Microsoft® Surface® in 2001. The first prototype appeared in 2003, using an IKEA table! After four years of work, the first Microsoft® Surface® 1.0 touch screen unit was unveiled to the public on May 30, 2007. This device uses the Surface Computing technology based on Windows Vista SP1, which allows users to manipulate digital content using a multi-touch screen. However, the real revolution is in the amazing interface developed by Microsoft. The multi-user, multi-touch interaction enables ways of working which were previously impossible.

Almost three years later, Microsoft® has revolutionized the world of touch-screen computing once more with the announcement of the Samsung SUR40 with Microsoft® PixelSense™. With improved performance, and now more affordable than ever, this new version enables companies to acquire an innovative device and to benefit from a unique user experience, custom-built by AFTER-MOUSE.COM!
